Community and School Impact Initiative
Our efforts to keep elementary to high school age youth active and engaged in their education by partnering with schools and having a presence on campus.
Ways We Can Serve
ASSEMBLIES AND RALLIES
TYM4Change partners with local K-12 schools to host rallies, assemblies, and interactive lunchtime events. We inspire better attendance, empower students to take charge of their futures, and spark enthusiasm for learning.
RAISING STUDENT VOICE
TYM4C brought our “Inspire” assembly to South High School, where we also premiered our film “Equity Rise.” Students heard from local community leaders, such as Leticia Perez (Kern County Board of Supervisors), participated in engaging and education activities, and conducted a Focus Group discussing important issues.
TOBACCO USE PREVENTION EDUCATION
The T.U.P.E. program is dedicated to educating youth about the dangers of tobacco use and exposing the deceptive tactics of Big Tobacco companies targeting underage users. Through engaging middle and high school curriculum, we empower students to use their knowledge to educate and inspire others to avoid tobacco use.
STRENGTHENING FAMILIES
The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is an evidence-based family skills training program for high-risk and general population families designed to increase community and family bonds, and decrease potential access to and usage of alcohol, cannabis, and other drugs.
AGGRESSION REPLACEMENT TRAINING
Aggression Replacement Training concentrates on individual competencies to address various emotional and social aspects that contribute to aggressive behavior in youth. ART consists of a ten-week, 30 hour intervention consisting of the following components: social skills, anger control, and moral reasoning.
