Castel joined TYM4Change in March 2023 and is a student at Mira Monte High School. In their free time, they enjoy taking photos, reading, and working on different kinds of creative projects. Cristal was inspired to join TYM4Change because of the work they do in the community.

Chris Dixon

Chris is a student at Ridgeview High School. He is one of the few people in his family who plans to or has become a doctor. In his free time, Chris likes to listen to music while painting or drawing. He eventually wants to take action going into the medical field through college to get his Bachelors and Masters degrees.

Hope De La O

Hope joined TYM4Change in 2023. She is a transgender youth volunteer who takes pride in serving her community. She aspires to start her own non-profit and help give back to society. She owns 4 cats, one tuxedo, one tabby, and two black cats whom she loves very much.

Jose Zorilla is attenidng Bakersfield College for industrial automation. He has participated in various aspects of community building and hopes to inspire and build confidence in everyone here in Kern County. He loves to play guitar, spending time with his family and friends..

Lorenza Martinez

Lorenza is a student at Bakersfield College. She is a first generation Mexican-American and has an interest in learning other languages. Right now, she is majoring in American Sign Language. In her free time, Lorenza likes to read, watch movies with her boyfriend, and go thrifting. Lorenza eventually wants to be a teacher and hopes to spark change for her community.

Victor is a first generation college student studying at Bakersfield College. Victor is currently majoring in Administration of Justice. He is very passionate about making a change in his community and becoming a leader. Throughout all the struggles in his life, he has learned to make the most out of it and always be happy.

Yasmin is student at Golden Valley High School. She is a proud Mexican and hopes to be the first in her family to get a degree. In her free time, she enjoys art and reading books such as romance and memoirs. Yasmin eventually wants to be a medical assistant or nurse, or to start an art program for youth i n her community.
